'Despereaux' (The Arizona Republic)
'The Tale of Despereaux' Smart, relatively complex tale of a brave mouse named Despereaux (voice of Matthew Broderick) and a rat (Dustin Hoffman) whose lust for soup leads to tragedy. It's a tale of courage and redemption, a little darker than some kids' fare, and all the better for it. Cast includes William H. Macy, Emily Watson and Richard Jenkins. (G - 94 minutes).
